On Thursday, November 14, 2013 the Kentucky State Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle which resulted in the seizure of 418 pills, with a street value of approximately $5,720. The traffic stop was conducted on Interstate 24, approximately 8 miles east of Kuttawa. Click here to read more.
KSP arrested John T. Powers II, age 48, of Clarksville, TN. Powers was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (class D felony), Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, (class D felony), Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, (class D felony), Prescription not in Proper Container, (class B Misdemeanor), and Failure to or Improper Signal (Violation). Powers was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
