Easter Events Planned At Kentucky State Parks

Kentucky State Parks will be serving their annual Easter buffets April 20, and several parks are planning other special events.

The menu includes beef carved on the line, baked country ham, golden fried catfish and hushpuppies. The meal will also include fresh fruit, a cheese bar, garden vegetables, salad and desserts.

Kenlake State Resort Park, Aurora
Egg Hunt, April 20
Kenlake will host an Easter egg hunt April 20 on the front lawn of the Kenlake Hotel  at 2 p.m. Eggs are stuffed with prizes for girls and boys in age categories 2 and under, 3-5, 6-9, and 10-12. The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance during the festivities. Enjoy breakfast in the Aurora Landing restaurant from 7-10 a.m., and the Easter lunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 1-800-325-0143.

     

Lake Barkley State Resort Park, Cadiz
Egg-ceptional Egg Hunt, April 20
Lake Barkley’s Windows on the Water Restaurant will offer its annual Easter buffet from noon- 8 p.m. April 20. That afternoon, more than 3,000 eggs will be part of the park’s Egg-ceptional Egg Hunt! The Easter Bunny arrives at the fitness center at 2:30 p.m., and the egg hunt starts at 3 p.m. at the fitness center. From toddlers to teenagers, bring your baskets and gather some goodies.
